Adjust Displacement Control Valve Neutral

LEGEND:

NOTE:
The control valve can be adjusted for neutral position as follows without removing it from the hydrostatic unit.
1. Check linkage neutral adjustment before checking control valve neutral.
2. Remove two plugs (A) on the side of valve. (Same side as control lever.)
3. Loosen set screw (B).
4. Use pliers to turn out adjusting screw (C) two full turns.
5. Look into open ports at spool valve (F) and move control lever (D) slightly in both directions.
6. Do not move lever enough to compress return spring (E). Turn adjusting screw (C) in slowly while moving lever (D) in both directions.
7. When end play of spool is eliminated, the adjustment is made. End play should be observed while looking through holes at spool (F). Movement in control lever (D), after end play is eliminated, is caused by wear in the linkage.
8. Tighten screw (B) and install plugs (A).

5. Pry lower sheave halves apart with a bar and push
belt up between sheave halves. This will provide slack in
the belt (Fig. 9).
6. Loosen and disconnect chain at coupler link. Re-
move chain from sprockets (Fig. 9).
7. Remove two cap screws and push support up to
provide additional clearance (Fig. 9).
8. Use two wrenches and disconnect hydraulic line
(Fig. 9). Plug hose and cylinder.
9. Remove cap screw and washer (Fig. 9).

8. Remove two bolts (10), the washers and nuts that hold exhaust tube assembly (9) to the mounting bracket.
Remove exhaust pipe assembly (11) and exhaust tube assembly (9), as a unit, from the machine.
9. Remove the four socket head bolts that hold the exhaust tube assembly to the exhaust pipe assembly.
Separate the exhaust tube assembly from the exhaust pipe assembly.
NOTE: The following steps are for the installation of the muffler group.
10. Connect exhaust tube assembly (9) to exhaust pipe assembly (11) using the four socket head bolts.
11. Put the exhaust tube assembly and the exhaust pipe assembly, as a unit, in position in the machine.
12. Connect exhaust pipe assembly (11) to the turbocharger using three nuts (8).
13. Install two bolts (10), the washer sand nuts that hold exhaust tube assembly to the mounting bracket.
14. Install heat shield plate assembly (7) over the turbocharger and the exhaust pipe assembly.
15. Put muffler (6) in position in the two muffler clamp assemblies. Connect the muffler to tube assembly (2).
Install two bolts (5), the four washers and two nuts that hold the muffler in the muffler clamp assemblies.
Install clamp (3).
16. Put exhaust pipe (1) in position on the muffler. Install clamp (4) that holds the exhaust pipe in position.

Remove And Install Parking Brake
Start By:
a. remove parking brake cylinder
b. remove front and rear drive shafts
1. Place floor jack under parking brake and block. Remove four bolts (1) and remove parking brake (2). The weight of the parking brake is 56 kg (125 lb).
NOTE: The following step is to install the parking brake.
2. Position parking brake with floor jack and install four bolts (1).
