NOTE:
• Use new 0-rings and new special bolts when reassembling.
• Use liquid gasket, Part No. 08718-0001.
1. Drain the engine coolant (page 10-5).
2. Remove the timing belt (page 6-291.
3. Remove the bolts, then remove the water pump.
4. Install the water PUr’!lP in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: If Fuel and Emission maintenance is required):
The radio has a coded theft protection circuit.
If some services to the car requires any of the following, be sure you get the customer’s code number before you begin work:
– disconnecting the battery.
– removing the No. 39 BACK UP fuse in the under hood fuse/relay box
– removing the rad1o.
After service, reconnect power to the radio and turn it ON. The word “CODE” will be displayed. Enter the customer’s 5 digit code to restore radio operation.
