11 00 609 Oil change in engine with filter (for maintenance)
Preparatory work
Removing left engine spoiler

(+) Oil change in engine and oil tank, with filter
(-) Oil change in engine and oil tank, with filter
Note: Change oil, warmed to normal operating temperature.
Draining engine oil
Draining engine oil from oil tank
Place a suitable tray underneath the motorcycle to catch escaping oil.
Wipe the area around the filler neck of the oil tank clean.
Remove cap of oil tank (1).
Squeeze hose connection (2) for oil level indicator at the plastic ring and pull the hose off.
Warning: Parts of the exhaust system can be hot. Do not touch hot parts of the exhaust system.
Guide the hose connection down between the frame, exhaust and swinging arm and drain the oil out of the oil tank.
Reconnect hose connection (2) of the oil level indicator.
Dispose of used oil in an environmentally friendly manner.
Draining engine oil from engine
Place a suitable tray underneath the engine to catch escaping oil.
Warning: Parts of the exhaust system can be hot. Do not touch hot parts of the exhaust system.
Remove oil drain plug (2) and drain the oil.
Remove old sealing ring (1) from the drain plug.
Dispose of used oil in an environmentally friendly manner.

Remove screws (2) (4 x 12), screws (3) (4 x 14), screws (4) (5 x 24) and screws (5) (5 x 16).
Remove inner shell (1).

Install screws (4) (5 x 24) first.
