1. Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Engage the parking brake. Chock the wheels in order to prevent the machine from moving. Install blocks between the front axle and the frame. This will prevent the truck from shifting if a wrong hose is removed or a hose is damaged.
2. Raise the truck body and install the truck body prop under the truck body. Turn the electrical disconnect switch to the OFF position.
3. Put identification marks on all lines, hoses, wires, and tubes for installation purposes. Plug all lines, hoses and tubes. This helps prevent fluid loss and contamination of the oil system.
4. Drain the transmission. the capacity of the transmission is 55 L (14.8 US gal).
