Control Unit Input Test (KN model).
Disconnect the 8-P connector from the control unit.
Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
• If the terminals are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
• If the terminals look OK, make the following input tests at the connector.
• If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
• If all the input tests prove OK, the control unit must be faulty; replace it.
NOTE:
If the shift lock solenoid clicks when you step on the brake pedal with the ignition switch ON (II) (with the shift lever in 0 ), the shift lock system is electronically OK. If the shift lever cannot be shifted from 0, test the shift lever position switch as described on page 23-168 in the 1991 Legend Shop Manual, 62SPOOO, and see section 14 of the same Shop Manual.

•Before disconnecting any part of the SRS wire harness, install the short connectors (see page 23-54 of 1993 Legend Shop Manual Supplement 62SP021).
