Transmission
Problem: Transmission Does Not Operate In Any Speed Or Does Not Engage (Slips) In All Speeds.
Probable Cause:
1. Low oil pressure caused by:
a. Low oil level in power train tank.
b. Control linkage loose or adjustment not correct.
c. Failure of the oil pump.
d. Air leaks on inlet side of pump.
e. Priority valve adjustment not correct.
f. Leakage inside the transmission.
g. Adjustment of the modulation relief valve not correct, or valve does not close.
h. Load piston or differential valve operation not correct.
2. Mechanical failure in transmission.
3. Failure of torque converter.
4. Failure of transfer or bevel gears.
5. Steering clutch operation not correct.
6. Failure in final drives.
Problem: Transmission Does Not Make A Shift.

Problem Checklist
Hydraulic System Problems
1. Noise comes from the pump. Cylinder 1. movement is not smooth and regular.
2. The oil in the system gets too hot.
3. Oil supply from the pump is not at the specification.
4. Oil pressure in the system is too low.
5. Loss of efficiency is observed in the implement circuits.
6. Cylinder drift is more than the specification.
7. Ripper cylinder drift or bulldozer tilt cylinder drift occurs during the machine operation.
8. Ripper movement is very slow with no down pressure in either the lift circuit, the tip circuit, or both of the circuits.
9. When the engine deceleration is in progress, the bulldozer blade moves out of the FLOAT position momentarily or the speed of the bulldozer lift cylinder slows momentarily.
10. The blade does not stay in FLOAT position.
11. The fan drive motor of the engine is noisy.
12. The speed of the lift cylinder for the blade is very slow.
