UPPERSTRUCTURE I Swing Dampener Valve
1. Remove backup rings (6), (8) and 0-ring (7) from body (5).
2. Remove spring (11) and spring seat (1 0) from body (5).
3. Clamp body (5) with a vise.
Remove plug (13) and 0-ring (1).: 10 mm
4. Remove piston (2), plunger (12), shim (3), spring
(4) and ball (9) from body (5) in order.

IMPORTANT:
(1) Clean all parts.
(2) Check for scratches or rough surfaces if found smooth with an oil stone.
(3) As a general rule , replace oil seals.
NOTE: (1) Apply a film of grease on the rip of dust seal (2) before installing.
(2) Thoroughly clean grooves holes. Full step apply a film of hydraulic oil or grease to the oil seal (5) before installing.
(3) Be sure to install ring (7) with the chamfered side down.
(4) Perform leaking test after assembled.
(5) Check that retaining ring (B) is installed correctly.
(6) When before installing the spindle, apply a film of hydraulic oil to body (6) inside and spindle outside then press in spindle.

UNDERCARRIAGE / Front Idler
REMOVE AND INSTALL FRONT IDLER
Removal
Before removing the front idler, the tracks must be removed first. For removal and installation of the tracks, refer to “Remove and Install Tracks” section.
In this section, the procedure starts on the premise that the tracks has already been removed.
CAUTION: Front idler weight: 84 kg (185 lb)
1. Slide the front idler forward, using a pry bar.
2. Attach the front idler to a hoist, then remove the front idler (1) from track frame (3).
3. To keep front idler (1) for a time, place it on blocks as shown.
Installation
1. Attach front idler (1) to a hoist, then install it to track frame (3).
Apply a film of grease to the sliding surface between track frame (3) and bearing (2).

1. CONSTRUCTION AND FUNCTION
Four double acting cylinders-bucket, arm and two boom cylinders – are used on the hoe attachment . All cylinders are similar operation and construction in general.
Two boom cyl inders are interchangeable each other except pipes . Bucket cylinder has interchangeable parts with boom cylinder around pis ton and head.
Arm cyli nder of l arger diameter has no interchangeability with other cylinders.
CUSHION CYLINDER
For shock absobing of rod movement at the stroke end, cushion mechanism is provided in the top chamber of all cylinders, and the bottom chamber of arm cylinder as shown in the following f i gures .
When piston aproches to the stroke end, return oil flow through throttled passage between cushion ring and bore.
